About Sun
The Sun is a star primarily composed of hydrogen (about 91%) and helium (about 8.9%), with trace amounts of heavier elements like oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, iron, and silicon making up the remaining 0.1%. These elements exist as plasma at the Sun's extreme temperatures, with hydrogen atoms undergoing nuclear fusion into helium at the core, which is the process that generates the Sun's energy.
